Ventelo Access Screening
Business Purpose
Ventelo is providing data and telecom services. Ventelo is also offering services to wholesale operators. These switchless operators sell preselect telephony subscriptions to households and small companies.
In year 2002, Ventelo needed a flexible service with short delivery time in order to close a deal with a switchless operator. Inabler was, and still is, the solution. Inabler’s Access Screening service makes it possible for Ventelo’s switches to keep track of which subscriber (Calling Party No.) that is allowed to call with a specific switchless operator. This makes it possible for Ventelo to address a mass market via several switchless operators. When partnering with switchless operators, Ventelo can get large telephony volumes with a limited sales force. Large telephony volumes also mean better interconnect deals with other network operators.
Network functionality
Ventelo’s switches need to keep track of the end-users. The switches need to map the end-user to the correct switchless operator. Since each switchless operator has its own prefix, a white list and a black list is maintained in the IN-platform for each prefix.
